From August 31st to September 25th, 15 students, including one foreign exchange student, from the International Communication Faculty participated in a one-month study abroad at the University of Victoria’s English Language Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This study abroad gave students the chance to experience studying at a large public university and to live with a Canadian homestay family giving them ample opportunities to use English and understand the differences in culture. During each of the four weeks of their study abraod, they had classes from Monday to Thursday focusing on language learning (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). On Fridays, they participated in sociocultural events with student staff to learn about the local history and attractions and to put their language skills to practical use.  

8月31日から9月25日にかけて、国際学部の学生15名（留学生1名を含む）が、カナダ・ブリティッシュコロンビア州ビクトリアにあるビクトリア大学英語教育センター（ELC）での1ヶ月間の留学プログラムに参加しました。この留学では、大規模な公立大学での学習を経験するとともに、カナダの家庭でのホームステイを通じて、英語を実践的に使い、文化の違いを理解する貴重な機会を得ました。留学期間中の4週間、月曜日から木曜日までは、スピーキング、リスニング、リーディング、ライティングといった語学学習を中心とした授業が行われました。金曜日には、学生スタッフと共に社会・文化的なイベントに参加し、現地の歴史や名所について学ぶとともに、習得した語学力を実践の場で活用しました。
