国際学部の2年生は「短期語学研修」という授業で４週間の海外留学が必修になっております。今回は、オーストラリアのサザンクロス大学です。引率のワルゼン先生が、オーストラリアへの海外留学の様子を英語でまとめてくれたので、英語圏への留学に関心のある皆さん、以下の英文に挑戦して読んでみませんか

Study Abroad in Australia

     There are several special features related to the Australian program at Southern Cross University (SCU). First, the university is a modern, beautiful set of buildings situated in the famous Gold Coast area. SCU is only a few minutes from the ocean on foot. Because it is a prosperous area, most of the students’ homestay houses are also relatively luxurious homes, sometimes even on the beach or with special features like private swimming pools.

     The teaching staff at SCU is extremely professional and experienced. High-tech facilities are also incorporated into the lessons and teaching plans—such as “smart” boards that link via wi-fi directly to students’ PCs and smartphones for games, lessons, and activities. The students receive morning and afternoon classes daily, with some afternoon excursions built into the curriculum. There is beautiful countryside around the Gold Coast where exotic wildlife such as kangaroos and koalas may sometimes be seen.
