Hokkaido Bunkyo University Student Support Policy

Hokkaido Bunkyo University, under the founding spirit of "Seimasa Shinjitsu" (progressing with sincerity), will build a system to realize the philosophy and educational goals of the university, so that each student can concentrate on their studies, live a student life with peace of mind in all aspects, financially, physically, and mentally, and so that students can build the careers they desire in society and become independent as members of society. The policy regarding student support is as follows.

1. [Academic Support]

  • We create an environment for learning that is suited to each student's academic ability.
  • We will support students' financial studies by improving our scholarship system so that they can concentrate on their studies without financial worries.

2. [Living Support]

To create an environment in which each student can maintain and improve their physical and mental health, we will support them in living their student life with peace of mind by improving the system in which they can seek advice on any problem they may have in their daily lives.

3. [Support for extracurricular activities]

To support a rich campus life by encouraging students to take part in extracurricular activities independently outside of regular classes, so that they can develop their abilities and lead a fulfilling student life.

4. [Career Support]

  • The program aims to enable students to think about the meaning of life and discover ways to live from the perspective of "career and life" during the time until graduation.
  • In order to enable each student to become independent as a member of society, we provide detailed support according to the student's year in fostering a professional mindset, helping them choose their career path, and helping them find a job.

5. [Support for students with disabilities]

  • We will ensure that students with disabilities have equal opportunities to study from enrollment to graduation, as well as in matters related to further education and employment.
  • It is the policy to provide appropriate support to students with disabilities who wish to seek support, even before they enroll.

6. Support for international students

  • Regarding study abroad for our students, we will actively establish overseas training programs and promote globalization in the training field across the university.
  • In supporting international students, we place great importance on constant communication between international students, Japanese students, and faculty and staff, so that they can lead a rich student life.
