1. Diploma Policy

The Graduate School of Global Communication awards a Master's degree in Language, Culture and Communication to students who have acquired the required credits according to the course regulations, completed the required number of years of study, and are deemed to have acquired the following abilities:

• Each field has acquired specialized knowledge and skills related to the specialized field that it covers. (Knowledge and Skills)
• ・Has advanced language skills and application skills in the major languages ​​of each field. (Knowledge and Skills)
• - Acquire comprehensive language and cultural skills, develop an interest in various issues both at home and abroad, and be able to respond to those needs. (Interest, motivation, attitude)

2. Curriculum Policy

The Graduate School of Global Communication has two courses under the Language, Culture and Communication major: the "Language, Culture and Communication Course" and the "Area Communication Course." Each course has four areas: "English/Anglo-American Language, Culture and Communication Area," "Chinese/Chinese Culture and Communication Area," "Japanese Language/Japanese Culture and Communication Area," and "Area Communication Area." We have organized an educational curriculum that allows students to acquire specialized knowledge, skills, and research capabilities in each area and to be able to play an active role by utilizing advanced language proficiency.

1. Education content

   • In order to acquire practical language skills, subjects such as translation and practical exercises to develop language-related communication skills are arranged by area.

   • There is a special course (research methodology) for writing dissertations.

   • Taking into consideration the expertise and sustainability required to respond to changes such as the internationalization of society, a group of subjects (Common Subjects B) has been arranged to cultivate specialized knowledge, broad and rich culture, and communication skills.
2. Education method
   • Lectures and practical courses are mostly small-group seminars, encouraging active participation by graduate students.
   • Master's thesis guidance is provided through small group or individual guidance, utilizing a thorough individual research system.
3. educational evaluation
   • Lectures and seminar courses will be assessed on the content of reports, discussion papers, exams, and presentations and discussions given during class time.
   • Master's theses are evaluated through a process involving multiple thesis supervisors and thesis examiners.
