1. Diploma Policy

The Department of Nursing awards a Bachelor's degree in Nursing to students who have acquired the required credits in accordance with the course regulations, completed the required number of years of study, and are deemed to have acquired the following abilities.

• The candidate has the scientifically based judgement, reasoning and subject understanding skills required for nursing according to health conditions and changes, and has the practical skills required as a nurse. (Knowledge and Skills)
• To support the health and lives of people living in the community, students will be able to assume a leadership role by understanding the role of nurses and the interprofessional collaboration and collaborative team structure appropriate for a variety of care environments. (Knowledge and Skills)
• Possess the cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge and logical thinking necessary to understand the essence of nursing, and be able to flexibly respond to changes in the circumstances surrounding nursing (thinking, judgment, expression).
• Possess the problem-solving and problem-solving abilities required for the development of the nursing process and clinical judgment (thinking, judgment, expression).
• Able to investigate the nature of social and historical changes related to medical care and nursing, have a rich humanity, high ethical standards, and social responsibility, and be able to proactively support society in line with the changes of the times. (Interest, motivation, attitude)

2. Curriculum Policy

• The Department of Nursing has organized an educational curriculum that systematically arranges liberal arts subjects, specialized foundation subjects, and specialized subjects in order to cultivate the knowledge and skills necessary for nurses.
• Lectures and seminars are systematically arranged, followed by practical training as a culmination of the program.
• You can obtain the qualification to take the national nursing examination.

  • In order to develop the evidence-based judgment, thinking, and subject understanding abilities necessary for nursing, the following subjects are offered: Basic Nursing, Adult Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Maternal Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community and Home Nursing, Nursing Integration and Practice, Structure and Function of the Human Body, and The Development of Disease and Promoting Recovery.
  • In order to develop practical skills as a nurse, the following subjects are offered: Basic Nursing, Adult Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Maternal Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community and Home Nursing, and Nursing Integration and Practice.
  • In order to develop the ability to cooperate with multiple professions in health, medical care and welfare, "Regional Comprehensive Care System Theory" and "Health, Medical Care and Welfare Administration Theory" are offered so that students can understand the importance of this. In addition, "Introduction to Team Medicine" is offered as a joint subject with other departments.
  • Information processing subjects will be included to enable the use of ICT and electronic medical records.

  • In order to foster interdisciplinary knowledge and logical thinking across the arts and sciences, we have arranged a group of liberal arts subjects in the humanities and a group of liberal arts subjects in the science and technology fields.
  • In order to develop the problem-solving and problem-solving skills required for the development of the nursing process and clinical judgment, we offer a group of subjects on "clinical training," "nursing process theory," and subjects related to the development of nursing science in each nursing field.

  • To enable students to explore the essence of social and historical changes related to medical care and nursing, and to develop rich humanity, high ethical standards, and a sense of social responsibility, we offer courses such as "Basic Nursing Courses," "Introduction to Medical Care," "Nursing Ethics," liberal arts courses such as "Life and Social Environment" and "Modern Medical Care, Welfare, and Nursing," as well as career development-related courses.
  • In order to respond to globalization and develop an international perspective, we offer courses such as "International Nursing," "Medical English," "Reading English Nursing Literature," as well as language-related liberal arts courses and a comprehensive training-based group of courses so that students can learn to read, write, and speak in a foreign language and develop an interest in making international contributions by utilizing their nursing expertise.
  • We offer subjects related to nursing research so that students can contribute to improving the quality of nursing and medical care throughout their lives.
  • By learning about the SDGs in the first-year general education course, students will develop the ability to consider the content of their university studies from the perspective of the SDGs.

  • Active learning will be utilized in all subjects to develop the following abilities:
    • Ability to make clinical decisions and develop nursing processes that incorporate the opinions of others and deepen one's thoughts
    • Ability to make an honest effort to understand the subject of nursing

  • We will introduce simulation education, including paper case studies, so that nursing techniques can be used to solve people's health problems.
  • Provide opportunities to listen to lectures by people who are the recipients of nursing care so that you can sincerely engage with and understand them.
  • Provide opportunities for nursing practitioners to attend lectures so that they can visualize nursing practice.
  • A variety of training facilities will be provided to enable trainees to acquire specialized nursing knowledge and to practice the nursing skills required.
