Childcare education regional support center

In recent years, with the trend towards nuclear families and declining birth rates, it has become more difficult for parents to find someone with plenty of experience in child-rearing to talk to about their worries and concerns. Our university's "Child-rearing Education Regional Support Center (commonly known as the Bunkyo Penguin Room)" was established with the aim of solving such problems.

The "Bunkyo Penguin Room" began operating in earnest in the spring of 22 as a place for local parents with infants and young children to interact with each other, and as a base for practical training and training for students of our department who wish to work in children's education in the future.

The staff includes experts in child-rearing support and educational clinical activities, as well as faculty from all departments in the Faculty of Human Sciences, including the Department of Child Development. We will deepen research into child-rearing and use the results to enrich education.

We will provide a variety of programs for children who have difficulty interacting with the people and things around them, such as programs to foster relationship skills, supporting interactions between local parents and children, promoting consultation activities regarding child-rearing, and planning and running public lectures and special lectures.
