[Overview of Sapporo Yamanote High School]
　This school was founded in 44 (Meiji 1911) by Nishioka Shigeyoshi and Asayo as Otaru Women's Vocational School with the intention of providing essential knowledge and skills for women and nurturing their character and sensibilities.
　In 1919, the school was promoted to a high school for girls, and renamed Otaru Midorigaoka Girls' High School. [Overview of Higashikawa Town]
　Higashikawa Town is located almost in the center of Hokkaido, and is a town rich in nature with beautiful rural scenery, including the highest peak in Hokkaido, Mt. Asahidake (2,291m). The main industries are agriculture, mainly rice farming, woodworking, and tourism. All the residents of Higashikawa Town live off groundwater. Snow that falls on the Daisetsuzan mountain range seeps into the earth and springs up over many years. The people of Higashikawa live with gratitude for this groundwater, a blessing from the sky. [Overview of Samsung Corporation]
　Since its founding in 31, Mitsuboshi has grown by selling sweets and breads, mainly in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, and has earned the support of many customers. In addition, its signature product, "Yoitomake," made from jam made from haskap, a fruit that grows only in the Yufutsu wilderness (Tomakomai) in Hokkaido and that has been prized by the Ainu people as a miracle elixir of immortality and longevity, and generously placed on the inside and outside of a rolled castella cake, has been featured in many media outlets and has become known nationwide.
 
　We have one unchanging wish. That wish is to "make delicious sweets rooted in the climate of Hokkaido." [Outline of Yakumo General Hospital]
　Yakumo General Hospital began medical services in October 32, and in 10 was designated as a "regional center hospital" for the Kitatoshima Hiyama medical district, and began providing medical services to other municipalities in the medical district. In July 57, the hospital was designated as an emergency hospital by public notice, and is now equipped to accept emergency patients in the medical district 7 hours a day, 24 days a year. 　Hokkaido Japanese Language School, Sapporo Main Campus, is a Japanese language school established in February 2015 by the Takii Memorial Foundation, a general incorporated foundation, following a notification from the Ministry of Justice, and began accepting international students in April of the same year.
 
　Currently, there are approximately 130 international students studying Japanese.
　Based on the educational philosophy of "deepening intercultural understanding through Japanese language education and contributing to world peace and the welfare of humanity," the school offers courses that allow students to obtain a student visa and study for one to two years, aiming to reach intermediate to advanced levels of Japanese. 　One of the features of our Japanese language school is that it is multinational. [Overview of Mirai Kobo General Incorporated Association]
　Mirai Kobo General Incorporated Association is the organization that plans and manages "Hokkaido Historical Stage Kizunabana - The Tale of Nakayama Kyuzo." Kizunabana is aimed at children from 5th grade elementary school to 3rd grade high school in Eniwa city and neighboring cities, and aims to develop children's independence and communication skills, and to nurture human resources who are firmly rooted in the community.
 
　We also plan to tell the story of Nakayama Kyuzo, a great man rooted in the local area, through a stage performance centered on acting and dance, in order to convey the history of the region and the hardships and thoughts of our ancestors, and to inspire many people with a sense of attachment and pride in their hometown.
　Our activities began in 2011, when the Eniwa Junior Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 40th anniversary, as a commemorative project called "Eniwa Yume Dynamic" to create "human connections," which is the treasure of Eniwa. As if we knew this, we later changed our team name to "Kizuna Hana," which was decided through discussion among the children who belonged to the group.
 
　Thus, "Kizunabana" was born, but the creation of the play cannot be mentioned without mentioning the moving play "Modern Kumiodori: Solitary Amawari," which began in 2000 in Katsuren Town, Okinawa Prefecture (now Uruma City). As the saying goes, "If children change, adults change. If adults change, the community changes.", this is a "community revitalization" project that involves the community. When we started to move towards realizing this project as a model, we met Shimomura Kazuhiro, producer of the moving play "Modern Kumiodori: Ibuki - Nanzan Gimin Kishiro Den," which spread from Okinawa and is based in Minamiaizu, Fukushima Prefecture. Since then, our activities have taken off in a big way, and we are where we are today.

As a symbol of the recovery from the earthquake, the Abira Town Hayakita Gakuen, an integrated elementary and junior high school where students from grades 2023 to XNUMX study together, will open in April XNUMX. It was formed in 2006 when Mukawa Town, famous for its Mukawa Shishamo fish, and Hobetsu Town, famous for its Hobetsu melons, merged.
The town is surrounded by a rich natural environment, centered around the Mukawa River, one of the cleanest rivers in the country, which runs north to south.
The town is working to create a reconstruction base centered around the Kamuysaurus, the largest complete dinosaur skeleton in Japan, which was excavated in the town, and to develop the town as a leader in disaster prevention measures.

[Overview of Obihiro Otani Junior College]
Obihiro Otani Junior College was founded in 700 as a higher education institution for women in Obihiro, Tokachi, to commemorate the 1960th anniversary of the death of Saint Shinran. In response to the societal demand for a society in which men and women can participate equally, all departments became coeducational in 35.
 
In 1961, the name was changed from Japanese Language to Japanese Literature, and the following year in 1962 (Showa 37), the Department of Life Science was established, and in 1966 (Showa 41), the Department of Social Welfare was established, resulting in a three-department system. In 3 (Showa 1988), the school moved from Obihiro City to the neighboring town of Otofuke in Kato County.
Regarding the departmental structure, the name has been changed from Japanese Literature to Japanese Language and Literature, then General Culture, and finally Regional Liberal Arts, and this year it has been established as the Regional Coexistence Department, Career Design Course.
The nutritionist course in the Department of Life Sciences will also be established this year as the Food and Nutrition course in the Department of Regional Coexistence Studies.
The Department of Social Welfare was separated into the Social Welfare Major and the Nursing Welfare Major in 1989, and in 2013 the Social Welfare Major was renamed the Child Welfare Major.
In response to local needs, the Department of Nursing, which was approved for establishment in August 2022 (Reiwa 4), opened in April 8 (Reiwa 2023).In addition, a new training building was built on the north side of the main campus, and the school has begun training nurses at a junior college, the only one of its kind in Hokkaido.
 
The school now has three departments: the Department of Community Coexistence, the Department of Social Welfare, and the Department of Nursing, and has developed into a junior college that carries out educational and research activities rooted in the local community.
