Towards the realization of the "100-year vision for education"
The Tsuruoka Gakuen Educational Corporation was established in 17 when Shintaro and Toshi Tsuruoka, the founders of the company, established the Hokkaido Women's Nutrition School with the aim of improving the health and eating habits of the people of Hokkaido.
Overcoming many hardships, in 34, at the request of the Hokkaido Prefectural Government, "Fujinosawa Girls' High School" was established, and in 38, "Hokkaido Nutrition Junior College" was established by inheriting and developing "Hokkaido Nutrition School". In 45, "Hokkaido Nutrition Junior College Affiliated Kindergarten" was established. Based on the junior college education, in 11, "Hokkaido Bunkyo University" was opened with one faculty, the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Since then, the school has expanded into a comprehensive institution that includes Hokkaido Bunkyo University (3 faculties and 8 departments), its graduate school (4 graduate schools and 4 majors), Hokkaido Bunkyo University Attached High School, and Hokkaido Bunkyo University Attached Kindergarten, an accredited early childhood care facility.
Thanks to the support of current students, parents, local community, and many others involved with our school, our school has been in business for over 80 years. Looking ahead to our 100th anniversary, we are now moving forward with the creation of a new school and reforms based on our plan to realize the "100-Year Vision of Education" of Tsuruoka Gakuen School Corporation.
Under these circumstances, in order to further solidify our efforts as a traditional school that supports the local community and to further advance the development of human resources suited to the new era, based on the founding spirit of "Kiyomasa Shinjitsu," which originated from the precepts of our founder, the late Toshi Tsuruoka, "Advance with purity, righteousness, and courage," we need to provide support for the development of a better educational and research environment and for extracurricular activities such as culture and sports. In the current severe economic climate, we are truly humbled to ask for donations from all concerned parties, but we would appreciate your understanding and kind consideration in this regard.

Approximately 2% of university students receive grant-type scholarships, but due to the impact of the recent global situation on the Japanese economy, the need for grant-type scholarships has increased, and financial support for students needs to be further expanded. Supporting scholarship programs helps students realize their dreams.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, our university temporarily conducted online remote classes, but we took measures such as installing anti-viral measures in facilities and acrylic partitions.
In addition to being a place for human resource development, the facility is also expected to function as a "base for disseminating knowledge and information" and a "plaza open to the community," and will support an environment that anyone can use with confidence.
