- Learn the truth about the worldOur lives are overflowing with information. International liberal arts are the only way to make the right decisions without blindly accepting rumors and fake news. In today's "knowledge society," where knowledge and information are the driving forces that move society, this department teaches students the "liberal arts" to obtain correct information from Japan and overseas, express their own opinions, and address various issues in the local community.
- Understanding Japan's challenges from a global perspectiveIf you don't know what's happening in the world right now and what the world's issues are, you won't be able to see the issues facing Japan. For example, when it comes to climate change, you need to be "educated" at an international level to know what you should do to address the issue.
- Connecting with the international communityOur lives depend on food and other things from around the world. Just by checking what products are made, by what people, and how they are made, you can see how the international community works. This is the first step in participating in solving social issues.
